Legal & Disclaimers
hvacrollups is an independent, public-record and editorial project that aggregates HVAC and home-services private-equity ownership information from publicly-reported sources (trade press, SEC filings, press releases, and archived industry publications) and publishes analysis and commentary based on it. This page explains what we do, what we don't do, and what limitations apply.
hvacrollups.com is operated by PitchPipe Technologies Inc., doing business as Teal Maker Consulting Inc. ("we," "us," or "hvacrollups"). References below to "hvacrollups" mean this operating entity.
Terms of Use
hvacrollups is a research and journalistic record. You may access, read, and share information published here for informational and research purposes. Any reproduction, redistribution, or commercial repackaging of the data or analysis requires attribution and is subject to the same disclaimers stated here.
Not Investment, Legal, or Financial Advice
Nothing on this site is investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, or financial advice. hvacrollups is published for informational and research purposes only. Do not rely on any information here to make investment decisions, enter transactions, or take legal or tax positions. If you are considering a transaction, acquisition, investment, or any other material decision related to HVAC or home-services companies, consult with a qualified attorney, accountant, financial advisor, and/or investment professional.
Statements of Opinion, Analysis, and Commentary
hvacrollups publishes analysis, commentary, and opinion about the private-equity consolidation of the HVAC and home-services trades. Our articles argue a point of view. Statements characterizing business models, incentives, or industry trends, including words such as "roll-up," "extraction," "camouflage," or descriptions of what a structure "optimizes for," are our opinion and analysis, offered as fair comment on matters of public interest, not as statements of objective fact about any particular company.
Where we name a specific company, sponsor, platform, or transaction, the underlying factual assertions, who owns whom, deal types, dates, and figures, are drawn from the publicly-reported sources cited alongside them, and are presented "as reported" subject to the accuracy disclaimer below. We do not assert, and nothing here should be read as asserting, that any named company or individual has engaged in fraud, deception, or other wrongdoing. Naming a company in connection with an industry-wide pattern is not an accusation against that company.
Some articles draw on research from adjacent industries (for example, healthcare, dentistry, veterinary care, or other trades) to illustrate a general mechanism. Such evidence is labeled as analogical and describes those industries: it is not a measurement of, or a finding about, the HVAC trade or any HVAC company, and must not be read as one.
Responsible Communication on Matters of Public Interest
The private-equity consolidation of essential home-services trades is a matter of public interest, and hvacrollups reports and comments on it in that spirit. Where we publish factual assertions, who owns whom, deal types, dates, and figures, we do so as responsible communication grounded in cited public sources, with the limits of that sourcing stated openly on our Methodology page and through the corrections process below.
Where we discuss a regulatory complaint, lawsuit, investigation, or other third-party accusation, we identify it as an allegation or a reported claim, attributed to its source, not as an established finding of liability or wrongdoing, unless and until it has been adjudicated or officially resolved. Reporting that an agency or another party has alleged something is not our assertion that the allegation is true.
First-Person Accounts and Lived-Experience Sentiment
Some articles surface first-person accounts and sentiment drawn from public discussion (for example, social platforms and online forums). These are presented as individual lived-experience opinion, anonymized and not independently verified, and are not our assertion of fact about any named company.
Dollar Figures and Economic Data
All dollar figures on this site are presented "AS REPORTED" by the cited third-party source and carry no warranty of accuracy or completeness. A reported figure may represent:
- Revenue or annual recurring revenue (ARR) rather than a transaction price
- Enterprise value (EV) or estimated valuation, not a confirmed deal price
- A subset of consideration (e.g., cash-only, upfront portion, or earnout excluding contingent payments)
- Third-party estimates or analyst projections, not confirmed by the parties involved
- Currency-converted or inflation-adjusted figures that may not reflect the original deal amount
- Single-sourced claims that have not been independently verified or audited
Figures are never independently audited or confirmed by hvacrollups. Where a figure's source and basis are known, they are attributed inline. You should never rely on any reported figure as a confirmed transaction price or valuation. See our Methodology page for details on how we badge verified vs. reported data.
Accuracy and "As-Is" Provision
hvacrollups is compiled through best-effort aggregation of publicly-reported information and may contain errors, omissions, outdated data, or unverified claims. The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express, implied, or statutory, including (but not limited to) warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that all information is current, that all sources are reliable, or that no data is missing. In particular, many historical HVAC roll-up transactions predate public disclosure and may be underreported or completely absent from our record.
Corrections and Takedown Requests
If you believe a row contains a factual error (incorrect company name, wrong party, wrong
date, incorrect figure, or misattribution) please submit a correction request to
corrections@hvacrollups.com. Include:
- Which row or fact is incorrect
- What the correct information is
- A source or justification for the correction
Rights holders who believe their intellectual property (copyright, trademark, trade secret,
or other proprietary right) has been infringed may submit a notice under the Digital
Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or a similar takedown request. Such requests should clearly
identify the infringing content and include contact information. Send to
corrections@hvacrollups.com. We will review and respond according to
applicable law.
Privacy and Data Collection
The published record on hvacrollups aggregates publicly-reported business information about HVAC and home-services companies, not consumers. The site may use basic analytics (page views, referral sources) to understand traffic, and does not sell, trade, or share that analytics data with third parties.
The main place we deliberately collect personal information on the site is our
Submit a tip page, described next. We may also receive personal
information if you contact us directly, for example a correction or takedown request, which
we use only to handle that request. If you have privacy concerns, please contact
corrections@hvacrollups.com.
Submissions & Privacy
If you use our Submit a tip page to send us information, documents, or leads, we collect and store the information you choose to provide. This is the only part of the site where we knowingly collect personal data, and we collect only what you submit to us.
What we collect. When you submit the form, we receive and store:
- The identity and contact details you enter: first name, last name, email address (required), and phone number (optional);
- The message content you provide: sector, subject line, body text, and any source URLs;
- Any files you attach (documents and images);
- Technical metadata captured automatically with the request: your IP address, browser user-agent string, and submission timestamps, used to operate the form and prevent spam and abuse.
Why we collect it. Submissions are used solely to review and verify the information, to follow up with you if we need clarification, to prevent spam and fraudulent or abusive submissions, and to keep a record for editorial and legal purposes. Your contact information is used only for these purposes. We do not add you to any mailing list, newsletter, or marketing program, and we do not sell or trade your information.
Who receives it and where it is stored. A submission is delivered as an email notification to our editorial inbox and stored on our hosting infrastructure: the files on a private server volume and the form record in our database. In handling it, the data passes through our email/SMTP provider and our server host. It is not made public by the act of submitting.
Nothing is auto-published. Every submission enters a moderation queue and is reviewed by a human. Submitting does not guarantee that any part of your submission will be published, and we may decline to use it for any reason.
No confidentiality or special relationship. The submission form is not a secure or anonymous whistleblower channel. Submitting does not create a confidential, attorney-client, or legally protected source relationship between you and hvacrollups, and we make no promise to keep your identity or materials secret. We will use reasonable judgment in handling what you send, but please do not submit anything you need to remain confidential, and do not send privileged, trade-secret, or other material you are not authorized to disclose.
Retention. We keep submissions only as long as needed for review, abuse prevention, and legal recordkeeping. Submissions that are not advanced for editorial follow-up are routinely purged, along with their attachments, after a limited retention window (currently about 30 days). Material we act on editorially, or that relates to a dispute, may be retained longer.
Corrections and deletion. You may ask us to correct or delete the personal
information in your submission by emailing
corrections@hvacrollups.com with enough detail to locate it. We
will honor reasonable requests, subject to our editorial and legal need to retain records of
material we have acted on or that relates to a dispute.
No Endorsement or Affiliation
hvacrollups does not endorse, recommend, or promote any company, product, service, platform, or investment featured in our record. Inclusion in the database is informational only and does not constitute a recommendation or approval.
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any company, private-equity firm, or platform named on this site. Company, product, and platform names, logos, and brands are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification, reference, and commentary purposes only (nominative fair use). Their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, hvacrollups and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use this site, even if hvacrollups has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing Law
These terms and any dispute relating to hvacrollups shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Changes to These Terms
hvacrollups reserves the right to update these terms and disclaimers at any time. Your continued use of the site after changes constitute your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
