ARI and GAMA Merge to Form AHRI

The Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA) have approved a merger to form the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), effective January 1, 2008. The new trade association will represent manufacturers of cooling, heating, and commercial refrigeration equipment and will be headquartered in Arlington, Va.

“Members of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute and the Gas Appliance Manufacturers have voted to approve the merger of the two trade associations to become the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) on Jan. 1, 2008.”
