Johnson Controls and Tyco Merger Completed

The merger between Johnson Controls, Inc. and Tyco International plc was completed on September 2, 2016. Following the merger, Tyco changed its name to Johnson Controls International plc, and the transaction was accounted for as a reverse acquisition with JCI Inc. considered the acquirer for accounting purposes.

Following the merger, Tyco changed its name to “Johnson Controls International plc” and is referred to in this Current Report on Form 8-K as the “Company.””
