Proposed Merger of Sheet Metal Workers and Transportation Union on Hold

A federal judge extended a temporary restraining order blocking the merger of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association (SMWIA) and the United Transportation Union (UTU) to form the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers Union (SMART).
