Riverside anticipates more public-to-private transactions in trades-adjacent companies
Riverside's managing general partner noted the firm has been targeting small public companies as acquisition sources, observing that the rate of public-to-private transactions had been slower than expected but was expected to increase significantly.
“"The rate of public-to-private transactions has been slower than we expected, with just 70 in 2002 and 77 in each of 2001 and 2000, according to Mergerstat Review. But we do anticipate this number increasing significantly."”
