SPX acquires Robinair parent; Robinair and ATP merge under SPX

SPX acquired the parent company of HVAC tool maker Robinair in June 2001, and effective January 1, 2002 Robinair and ATP operate together under SPX. ATP itself was formed from the July 2000 consolidation of SPX brands Amprobe, TIF, and Promax.
