Buyer beware!!! While I'm certain the result of my situation is just a hard lesson learned, I felt the need to share my experience to make sure others don't get burned like I did. I was near empty and ordered 300L back in December since I knew I was going to be away for the months of January and February. When the oil was delivered i had my tank filled in error (925L tank). Unfortunately the delivery techs were already gone before I noticed. When I phoned to discuss this and get it corrected, I was told that "I will use the oil this winter anyways", completely ignoring the error made and making no effort to make it right. I pushed back and advised I am only paying for what I ordered. I was told they would then pump the excess out of my tank. They then came back a month later while I was out of province. I returned yesterday and investigated my tank, only to find out it's back on empty. It should be noted that while I've been away for 2 months, all thermostats using the furnace were set to off (home was kept heated by heat pumps) so that no oil would be used. I phoned back today to ask for a receipt of what was taken out in January and was told that doesn't exist. When I tried to explain the situation on the phone with service, I was told I was wrong and that I used the oil. When I expressed frustration with the company and the options being presented, I was told there were many other furnace oil companies I could use. To say that the customer service experience was awful is an understatement. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Discount Fuels to do exactly as they recommended to me on the phone today and use "one of the many other options" available.

Do not give these people you cash I now have to take 200$ go to a gas station and dump fuel in myself in a blizzard and then prime my tank since it’s now run dry the woman answering the emergency line has the personality of a wet sock and could care less that my pipes are going to freeze she was completely unmoved I won’t be getting fuel here again

We received two oil deliveries from this company. The first was no issue. The second time, the driver did not close our gate to our fenced back yard and our 7 month puppy got loose. We live on the back of a very busy four lane road. The driver did not come to the door and indicate any issue with the gate. I followed up with the company to report the issue and hopefully prevent this incident from happening again and the company being liable. The lady who answered the phone said, "I will have to confirm this with the driver", as though she was questioning the accuracy of my story. I was promised a call back by Manager, Barry Edwards, and have heard nothing. In future, I will not order oil from this company and am happy to pay more per litre and receive a professional service.
