Needed a new disposal, as the old one broke. Technician shows up. Hes clean, knowledgeable, professional, and showed up the same day I called. Then I got quoted about $1000. To install a disposal. So I did it myself. Cost me $220 or so. Even if you cant do this by yourself, installation of a disposal should run a max of $200. It took me about 2 hours, and Ive never done it before, but if you can put together legos you should be fine. For them to charge that is price gouging. Why not charge a bajillion dollars at this point? Would have had the same result.

It was such a pleasure having Sam install my water heater. This is a very friendly and patient guy who likes to share his knowledge while he works so diligently. He knows exactly what it takes for a correct installation. He had all the answers to my questions. I hope you have the opportunity to have Sam help on your project, you will not regret it.

Had them come out to replace a water heater. Later sent me an invoice for $3,765.18 (I have to be very specific or the owner will get on here and claim I'm lying due to me using approximations) Seemed pretty aggressive as the market rate across San Diego is $1,200-$2,300. I went to the market to get quotes from other vendors - not making this up. Long story short is that Johnny Padilla is charging me TWICE the average market rate. I asked for them to simply itemize the invoice so I could understand what I was paying for as my insurance elected not to cover the charge. The owner responded with "We do not break invoices down to hours and line item costs as that is a significant time consumption for the back office and would increase costs to accomplish" Instead of taking 20 minutes to break down the cost, they instead placed a preliminary notice of a lien on my house! This seriously happened. I asked for an itemized invoice before paying and they immediately went to threatining liens on my property. I'd probably not recommend!
